From HS, I think this is one of the best recruiting classes in the last decade. First, we brought is 5 solid OL. From what I have seen, the OL is hard to predict based on HS. A few kids standout as eilte. We certainly did not get any of that level, but OL can be developed and it appears that this group is the next level down from elite. People wonder why USC doesn’t recruit well in our own backyard and this year I have been shown a small slice of the reason. Mrs. Rialto and I have moved to San Marcos in north San Diego County (we still own the Rialto homestead) We now receive the San Diego area local news on TV. Last night the extreme local news KUSI did a rundown of signing day from the power house schools in the county. Not one student from San Diego County, going to SC or Ucla was mentioned. Rialto, KUSI is a unique beast. You would think they were in rural Texas instead of a top 10 city in the US the way they cover HS sports. Often they have no national sports reporting especially on Friday in the fall. Tom Brady re-retired today. I have to wonder if his one more year was worth it? Does anyone know if he made more money than he lost in his divorce?
Were I Tom Brady, the last thing I’d ever worry about is money, period. Since his supermodel ex, Gisele, still makes as much or possibly a lot more than him, I bet he kept his and she kept hers, and they called it a day. If anything, he could probably get child support from her. Huh. I’d say he needed one more year to finally get the game out of his blood and now, he can walk away knowing he was probably going to get a divorce anyway down the line.
