A lot of us got “rich” with the BYU bet, but once we stop patting ourselves on the back for our insightful brilliance, recall that the bet was won by a mere 1/2 point, and without the muffed extra point the score should have been tied near the end, it being anybody’s ballgame.
Aaah, such is life (in sports anyway).
Last week was the Luke Fickell audition and he nailed it. Tomorrow is the James Franklin audition Part 1 (of 5).
I was surprised that Luke just strolled into TD Jesus and exposed ND as a team with big QB and running game problems. Maybe USC has a chance in South Bend after all?
If USC somehow gets by the Utes, the Trojans will be riding a whopping two-game win streak.
And if Donte actually beats Brian Kelly with only four games under his belt as HC, would we start saying that Donte is rebooted back to the audition stage? I don’t think so.
This is the most gigantic “if” ever, but what if he runs the table? There’s just no way I see it happening, but Bohn would be foolish to at least give him interview if that was the case. Again, huge “if” here, but if he did run table and become coach; I wonder who he would keep on staff. I’ll bet the entire offensive staff would be gone for sure. I don’t think Donte loves that philosophy.

I’ve had an awful lot of those through just five weeks, so which underachievers did my errant darts land on this time?
They all look like toss ups to me. Texas looks the most shaky, BYU your best bet. But my record is not too stellar.
Ya, were I just shooting for units, I would have put it all on BYU and let it ride. But I’d really like to see Sark beat Lincoln Riley in the Red River Rivalry. I’d also like to watch PSU handle IOWA because that would get James Franklin under super heavy pressure to deal with his coaching future in 2022. He seems like the clear front-runner to me for the Trojan job for those who enjoy pure gossip, speculation, and a void of solid info. Was contemplating making my relatively large bet on Georgia v Auburn, but sucla looked like a better wager. Georgia has an amazing defense, and even though the game is played at Auburn, I don’t see the Tigers scoring much, and the crowd will be taken out of the game in the first half. I hope Trojans562 has not played all his balls, whether of steel or not.

The Tide beat the Aggies by 28 last year. Alabama is better and A&M is worse this year compared to last. Alabama looked pretty dialed in last week against Ole Miss. SC is too Bipolar and the rest of the Pac 12 are a bunch of cannibals to take a chance on.

Pac-12 is a tough bet, Golden, but aren’t they all!?– Texas A&M was supposed to be a Top-10 team this year with its defense, so I stayed away from this game. But isn’t it a barrel full of monkeys fun what especially John Weld has put together here?– And your description of our betting “Welds” instead of real dollars was and is still pretty funny.
Also, Saben is now 24-0 against former assistants, 4-0 against Jimbo, and he was noticeably pissed his team gave up touchdowns in the 4th quarter last week, a 21 point victory did not make Saben happy.

At the beginning of the season most SC fans wrote off the Utah game as a loss, and yet now the Trojans are favored to win. And ND will probably be less than a touchdown favorite against our boys in 3-weeks, so that is a doable game as well. Not all is well on the Western Front, but there is pause for hope.
