If you have a polling question you would like to submit for next weeks Stanford game, please send me an email at: info@trojandailyblog.com
Poll Results USC offense had more than 500 yards (538) USC defense gave up less than 300 yards. (280) Note: the defense only gave up 70 yards in the second half. USC had more yards through the air (330) than on the ground (208) USC defense gave up more yards on the ground (146) than through the air (134) Miller Moss did get more than 5 minutes of playing time. Great poll. I’m surprised that a pick ‘‘em contest similar to last years’ has not been announced. I would have dropped the entire 10,000 on USC to cover and asked you to roll it over to the Stanford game. That way when I returned from Europe, I’d have 40,000 “dollars” in the play bank. Also, as the defending champ from last year I am declaring (if there is a $ prize) I would wish to donate any winnings to the Wounded Warrior Fund. Fight on! Beat the Owls.
How much longer can Karl Dorrell hold on at CU? His hapless Buffs got wiped out big-time by the Horned Frogs 38-13 with just three mins to go. CU just didn’t show at all in the 2nd half until TCU called all their HFs off. Dorrell, who only won four games last year, is now 8-11 at CU. He clearly needs to be replaced yesterday if the Buffs ever actually aspire to success. This was the same coach who infamously somehow beat Pete Carroll’s 10-1 outfit 13-9 on that horrible tip pick on Dec 2, 2006 (a day that will… Read more »
Wow! I watched the first half and then went to bed. I think the score was 7-6 in favor of TCU. Both teams looked awful. TCU scored on a punt return. That score reminds me of Stanford last year. Stanford got routed I think by Houston in Week 1 (Stanford ended the season 3-9) and then came to Coliseum and proceeded to rout the Cat lead Trojan and end the reign of The Cat. But, from what I saw, the CU corners were not very good (they lost both starters from last year to the portal – Blackmon transferred to… Read more »
V tech going to lose to old dominion. Feels like a long way away from Beamer ball.
I didn’t see this 20-17 VT loss to OLD DOM coming – but it looks like I should have. Per my Athlon Pre-Season mag, which predicted the Hokies would only finish 3-5 in the ACC — “It’s not a stretch to say the VT offense doesn’t have a top half of the league level skill player at any position. It might take a long time to fix this. The program did real damage to itself by keeping Justin Fuente (fired with two games left last season) for that extra year. ” Contrast the Hokie approach to USC’s last dive into… Read more »
Lightning strikes have delayed the TCU (-13.5) at CU game for 10-15 more mins they say.
Love the tourney let’s go.
The media’s biggest USC honk by far (sorry Reggie and Matt) won’t be missing tomorrow’s hot opener against the Owls.

“Got my tickets and ready to roll tomorrow. The @LincolnRiley era begins. I’m warning you right now — I may become more unbearable than usual, very soon.”
I hope he does.
Colin has been in pain over USC football like the rest of us for a long time, especially since he’s always had much more backstage access to USC’s troubles than the rest of us.
I really look forward to his remarks on The Herd on Monday, however the game turns out. He’s lost up-and-coming Joy Taylor to another show. Jason Mcintyre will be his new co-host as Fox has shaken up things a bit.
The tournament was what got me through last season. I’m all in absolutely. I have had lots of chicken, a fair bit of duck, turkey as well, even some pheasant. How does one prepare Owl? Roasted, broiled, baked, grilled or just burn it to a crisp?
Come out of tomorrows game feeling good and confident and Healthy ………..Fight On !!!!!
All in on the tournament. We had fun with it last year.
