Former Utah recruit Carson Tabaracci commits to USC transfer
Three-star 2022 UTAH LB/RB signee Carson Tabaracci from Park City, UT, is headed to USC, after almost 30 days in the transfer portal per his Twitter post.
Tabaracci, who played spring ball with the Utes, recently officially visited the Trojan campus, and the instinctive, aggressive youngster has publicly committed to USC where the versatile multi-sport 6-2, 225 pounder expects to play LB. During the spring, Tabaracci was positively mentioned multiple times by several members of the Utes staff, and also had a standout performance in the spring game.
OHIO ST, ORE, UCLA, STAN, and ND all recruited Tabaracci who had 24 rides coming out of HS. Excellent for USC to hurt a Pac-12 rival and immediately bolster its restocked defense with a true frosh at the same time.
USC still easily holds the No. 1 transfer class in the nation spot over OLE MISS, LSU, OU, ALA, NEB, UCLA, SO CAR, TCU and TEXAS.

LR got his backup QB, Jake Jensen from Contra Costa College.
Where has the loyalty gone? Anonymous CFB agent (The Athletic) — “People perceive this loyalty (to schools). Why would guys be loyal to you? Athletic directors aren’t loyal. Athletic directors don’t even call each other up anymore as a courtesy that I’m going to poach your guy. I’ve heard that a lot. These administrators go meet each other once every three months, all the common courtesy is lost. They all get together in Las Vegas (at the National Football Foundation), and two weeks later, they’re stealing each other’s clients. There’s no loyalty. For anyone to talk loyalty about Mario (to… Read more »
The Realities of the big-time AD role now?
“Working at a Power 5 institution as an AD now is 99 percent donor management. They are babysitting a bunch of billionaire crybabies, and each one wants their hand in the cookie jar…”

Question: Does anyone know if USC has an NIL Collective like many other schools are doing? Wearesc has a listing on NIL deals and what players are making along with collective information for the schools that have them. Interesting read for sure.
I have not heard. I do not think so, or else someone on the board would have been approached for donations.
As recently as Tuesday, Inside USC mentioned we do not.
He will compete with Ralen Goforth for the other ILB job. If Tabaracci beats him out, the 2022 Trojan D will have only one starter from the 2021 Trojan D returning as a starter (Tui) and only 4 or 5 on the two deep (Tui, Goforth, Figueroa, Bullock, and maybe Foreman). Quite a turn over in personnel. Welcome to the new world of collegiate football, brought to you courtesy of the US Supreme Court.
Bullock will be a starter next year, same with goforth. I think Pili and MaxWilliams will start as well, but you’re right they didn’t play last year.
I love that this staff is honest about competition and brings in guys to compete for spots. Nothing is taken for granted and no handouts.
Forgot about Max Williams. Given all the DBs transferring in and Domani Jackson (assuming he is healthy), it is going to be very strong competition for the 5th DB position.
USC’s gonna win the Pac-12. That’s how good LR has been so far. This team will have the talent, coaching and culture to already do that IMO. That’s my early prediction.
I still think Utah has the inside track. They return a ton of talent and experience, a quality QB (probably the best we will face), an excellent culture, staff and scheme, and over a decade of continuity. Obviously, SC has significantly upgraded its team this year in staff, culture, scheme, and talent. Odd to think, probably none of the O skill players (QB, WR, and RB) from the 2021 team will make the two deep, and on D it is possible that only one of the starters on the 2021 D will make starting 11 (Tui) and only maybe 5… Read more »
I think you have UTAH over-rated, not a lot, just a little, but most agree with you per early national rankings. Yet the Utes lost four games last year and USC handled them easy at Rice-Eccles in 2020, 33-17, under Helton no less. I’m betting USC’s superb skill, combined with LR’s solid commitment to the running game will catch the Utes a little off-guard. Plus UTAH will be coming right off a tough match-up against UCLA at the Rose Bowl. Plus, Kyle Whittingham just lost excellent in-state frosh LB Carson Tabaracci to LR. Bad sign. The Utes liked this kid a… Read more »
Since Pete left we have been caught in a quagmire. Now we are like walking down Broadway in a new suit, everyone is jealous of USC.
Allen, I detect a bit of Helton PTSD at work! Going from the worst HC in Power 5 (and The Cat was that) to the best is quite a shock. Combine that with a gigantic roster upgrade and you get a bit of euphoria. You could be right, but I think that it is way too much to ask of a new staff and in essence a new team. I would be delighted with 9-3 and 2nd in the South. I would be extremely pleased with 8-4 and a victory over either ND or UCLA.

This fun look into the crystal ball has USC playing Bama in the first round of the playoffs.
I am surprised the Peach Bowl gets a playoff game.
I think we may see a lot of Figueroa unless Foreman pulls his head out of his a$$.
I’ll bet Nick slides inside on a bunch of snaps. Foreman will get his snaps, too talented not to.
In other news Collin Kapernick has a tryout with the Raiders. He’s 34 years old, does anyone think his knees will hold up? (Just had to try that joke)
I think we only have 3 spots left. After spring we’ve signed Gentry, Addison, Lovelace, Tabaricci, Shaw, Byrd, and Covington. It will be interesting to see.
I hope we end up getting Miller.
Still like Christmas around USC.
Sam Darnold Working, and Showing More “Edge” Panthers.com — CHARLOTTE — The Panthers haven’t promised Sam Darnold anything really, but especially anything beyond the immediate. So as the veteran QB embarked on an offseason of uncertainty, he decided to lean into it, and embrace a moment-to-moment existence, one which is not exactly out of line with his personality. “Everyone, including myself, everyone knows the situation,” Darnold said Tuesday, after the second of the team’s OTA practices. “But with that being said, it doesn’t change my mindset going into the offseason. I’m just trying to have a great attitude about myself going into… Read more »
