A lot of us got “rich” with the BYU bet, but once we stop patting ourselves on the back for our insightful brilliance, recall that the bet was won by a mere 1/2 point, and without the muffed extra point the score should have been tied near the end, it being anybody’s ballgame.

I am conflicted about the SC/ND game. I think the game might be close for a half or so, but the SC D has only stopped WSU for a half (with its 2nd string QB) and CO (which is awful). So, unless the USC O score in the 40’s (which I doubt), SC will lose.
@TrojanRJJ , I just need to know how much you want to wager.
I too am betting ND, they have a lot to play for, and they have a home field advantage because referee-calls throughout football history have mysteriously favored the Irish. Does ND ask a man’s religion before they allow him to referee one of their games? And SC focused in on one receiver is a recipe for disaster. You think the Irish have not noticed? That said, the game is more of an SC fans’ cerebral exercise because most sentiment-and-emotions have evaporated over the mediocre years, and the expectations for SC success are at an All-time low. Steveg says I am taking this game too seriously. He is probably right, but I had never analyzed the various aspects of gambling until John created this game. My learned conclusion is that gambling on sports s-cks. So I think it is time for me to check out of the game by betting all my marbles. By the way, John, any player who has 10,000 units or more is still in the contest, but they will have to take a big risk to get back into the 30,000-40,000 range. Bet the 10,000 on one game. If it is a winner, bet the 20,000, and presto, you are at 40,000 with a little luck. Another strategy for the frontrunners is to go conservative, say 1000 only, until the last week of the contest. So many strategies when it is only a fun game. Anyone taking gambling serious already owns the casino, everyone else is a sucker. It just keeps me interested in games I may not have paid much attention to. But to each his own LJ.

Actually she is better at picking winners than I am. She evaluates every televised game and picks who will win. She does very well at it. So I had to bring her in or face the torment of a rejected woman. LOL
Tempted to take ND and bet against SC covering, but I just cannot root against the Trojans, especially when Troy battles the Irish or sucla.
