John I think the bowl schedule will be done tomorrow and we have a couple of weeks before they start. PLENTY of time for you to work through the holiday season keeping us entertained with a new contest. LOL Count me in if you do it.
Well done to John and the winners. Super excited to hear winnings are being donated.
look out in 2022, I’m coming for the crown!
I am wagering 1000 units that the score for the game will be under 60.5.
If I had any Welds left, I would have put every cent on Georgia, they are gonna kill Alabama.
I should have had a separate contest for championship weekend; next year.
Why not start a new contest for bowl season?
My thanks to John and Allen for this site and the contest. Great fun. I would suggest donating the prize money the American Heart Association. Our hearts will be pounding through our chests in the seasons to come! 💗
Here are emojis that I expect I will use now that Lincoln is the coach.

Chapeau to both John and Allen for this great site. TDB is the first “news” site I check in the morning, and along with the great posts and links to articles, the opinions of the participants are always insightful, interesting and just plain fun to read. Coffee and the TDB go together like hot and dog. I have learned that by reading everyone’s comments, then taking a step back, digesting and assimilating them, I get a very accurate read of the “barometer” of Trojan Nation, which itself as a composite is a very accurate read on the state of the… Read more »
I love the fact that the NCAA had to pony up at least 8 mil to Todd McNair, the amount thrown out there publicly by Reggie Bush. Reggie’s been in court a lot with his own lawsuits, and I assume he has access to L.A. lawyers and numbers like that. The NCAA literally tried to torture McNair by going through USC. They thought they could humiliate McNair over time both in and out of court, but he hung in there and outlasted them thanks to Judge Frederick Shaller, the USC grad who threw out the original not guilty Superior Court… Read more »
Side note about Judge Shaller. I know him. I worked with him for about a year after he became a judge. Also my son, between his 2nd and 3rd year at USC Law, was Judge Shaller’s law clerk. Judge Shaller’s nephew, Jim Abbott, was a walk on Safety for the USC football team from 2006-2009. He’s a laid back surfer-dude type of guy who is an incredibly nice man and very humorous.
Fantastic info!
He saved Todd McNair entirely, and in the end, all by himself when he literally vacated a nationally anticipated verdict and overturned a jury.
Are you surprised at all that he would be such a bold judge, at least as I view him?
No. Not at all. He was a Personal Injury attorney prior to becoming enrobed. Those guys usually have brass balls.
I am so happy for Todd and his family. After the professional and personal hit to his life and reputation, I’m glad he is getting deserved restitution
I echo all of the comments here about Allen and John. Thank you for this contest and your excellent blog. When I arrive at work it’s the first thing I click. Here’s to much brighter days for SC football!
My congratulations to TMC, San Diego, and DubPar. My bet is Oregon -3.5 for 1500.
Your bet will be Oregon +3.5 for 1500
Like a bad politician who is too far behind in the polls, I’m going to concede to TMC. His bold 30,000 unit bet on UCLA made him deserving. Congrats TMC! John, thank you for this fun contest, and everything you and Allen have put into this great blog since 2018. Time and effort you’ll never get back. For that reason, please keep my winnings and treat yourself and Allen to dinner. Many thanks, always.
UTAH -3.5 for 1000 units
I know I absolutely reflect John’s feelings when I say how much of a total privilege it has been to be able to deliver the TDB to all of our members. We both look forward to seeing how our blog moves along while uber-coach Lincoln Riley is in charge. It’s still hard for me to believe that USC actually, and luckily, landed coach Riley. I’m thinking this doesn’t even happen if OU beats OKS on Saturday and wins Bedlam. That would have messed everything up, and maybe (probably) set the table for something entirely different for the Trojans. Congrats on… Read more »
Allen & John, I think all of on the Board thank you for setting this Board up, and running it. This “fantasy” game has been a lot of fun.
That’s a class move San Diego Trojan. I, as well, offer my winnings to the guys who have built a nice site for USC fans to gather. Thanks John and Allen! Either use it for the site or donate it to charity in the name of the website. If you go the charity route, my choice would be to either The American Heart Association or the American Red Cross or The USO. Your choice. I imagine the Riley hire will expand the ranks of fans who come here and post in the near future. This wagering game was fun. I… Read more »
You guys are amazing. Thank you so much for allowing John and I to be a part of your Trojan football experience. While John and I have surely put a lot into this, we often talk about how entertaining, fun, and educational it is for both of us. The truth is, every day the TDB is a much bigger blast than I ever envisioned. The interaction here is fantastic IMO. I know I have come to respect many well-expressed viewpoints about USC football that I didn’t properly understand before we created the TDB. While disagreements may occasionally rule the moment… Read more »
Thank you, Allen. So glad you and John are enjoying the fruits of your labor, and are getting back some of the joy you put into it. And, as you say, there isn’t a better family to be part of, than the Trojan Family. I think Lincoln Riley will quickly find that to be true
I am going to go the charity donation route. I will follow up with you on this.
Thanks TMC, you too! I was thinking the same thing about charity. Funny about Vegas. I’m sure that if I bet real dollars, I would have somehow over analyzed my picks to death, every week, and probably bet the opposite, LOL
I think that the best thing to do is to donate your winnings to a charity of your choice. Any suggestions?
Any of TMC’s choices, or one of your own, would be fantastic, John.
Tunnels to Towers is incredible charity. Building homes for disabled vets and 1st responders.
John you did a great job putting this all together and keeping track of all of us. Great job. Let’s do it again next season.
