Pac-12 receiving leader Dorian Singer transfers to USC
Adam Grosbard (OC Register) — USC dipped back into the transfer portal on Monday, adding one of the best players in the Pac-12 to its 2023 roster.
Former Arizona receiver Dorian Singer committed to the Trojans Monday morning, making his announcement in a simple post on Twitter.
As a sophomore at Arizona in 2022, Singer led the Pac-12 with 1,105 receiving yards, averaging 16.7 per reception. He recorded 66 receptions and six touchdowns, earning first-team All-Pac-12 honors.
Against USC, Singer caught seven passes for 141 yards and three touchdowns, including an incredible one-handed grab.
Singer is the third former Wildcat to transfer to USC this month, joining defensive lineman Kyon Barrs and cornerback Christian Roland-Wallace, all of whom are immediately eligible.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Singer should have the opportunity to step right into the USC offense as a top option for Heisman-winning quarterback Caleb Williams next season. Transfers Jordan Addison and Mario Williams thrived in their first years at USC, and Addison is expected the enter the NFL draft as he projects as a likely first-round pick.
So Singer could headline a group that will include Mario Williams, Tahj Washington, Brenden Rice, Kyle Ford, Kyron Hudson, Michael Jackson III and C.J. Williams returning from last year’s team and five-star freshmen Zachariah Branch and Makai Lemon.

“Lincoln Riley vs the State of Oklahoma is objectively becoming a blowout”
While we are clearly trending in the right direction we still have lots of work to do. If we can’t keep the best local guys home we are still a ways out.
JT Daniels is transferring to RICE, his 4th program.
I hope JT finally settles down in a program. I will always say he got a tough deal at USC dealing with Hapless Helton and Tee Martin.
He was too short and too immobile to play at a major Div. 1-A school. If he had the wheels to move around in the backfield, he could have succeeded, but instead he has transferred until he has become an itinerant football player.
JT is 6-3, 210 lbs. I agree that he is immobile and that’s what’s kept him behind. He has solid arm strength and is a smart kid. I wish him well at Rice.
Another #1 QB bites the dust. Sometimes these prep rankings are simply absurd. I’m thinking Arch Manning at TEXAS is next up.
While i don’t wish any ill will towards Arch Manning, I’m thinking right along with you Allen. He has a lot of pressure on him coming from such a famous family that produced three QBs who had successful NFL careers. I can’t think of a kid in the recent past who has had to deal with the extra pressure over and above going from High School to College.
I just haven’t seen any tape on him (against poor competition by the way) that leads me to believe he is the best prep QB in the land. If his last name were Wallace, who knows how far down the QB ranking list he would be? JMHO.
If his last name were Wallace, I think he’d be up there on the list because he’d have some smarts! I played QB in High School and always believed that my mental acumen could overcome some of the physical shortcomings I had-like no wheels. So many players have the physical tools but are lacking mentally.
Andrew Vorhees and Tuli Tuipulotu Win Morris Trophy ✌✌ . USCTrojans.com — The Morris Trophy is given to the most outstanding offensive and defensive lineman in the Pac-12 Conference and is voted on by the players. Vorhees and Tuipulotu join a group of former Trojans to earn this same honor: Roy Foster (1980 & 1981), George Achica (1982), Bruce Mathews (1982), Jeff Bregel (1985), Tony Boselli (1994), Darrell Russell (1996), Travis Claridge (1999), Jacob Rogers (2003), Ryan Kalil (2006), Sedrick Ellis (2006 & 2007), Charles Brown (2009), Tyron Smith (2010), Matt Kalil (2011) and Alijah Vera-Tucker (2020). Pat Narduzzi is an absolute joke. He forgets that he and just about every coach in the country has or will leave their current job for a better one, even when they are under contract. Now he’s all bent out of shape about the exact same thing except players are able to do it.
Ford is likely probable. New tweet!!
He totally got poached by the portal last year. He better learn his lesson or he will be doing color analyst in the Sun Belt!
Mataeo is signing at 11am pst. Still to close to call although Scott Schrader is predicting USC, but barely.

Reggie’s Really Ramping It Up On Outgoing NCAA President Mark Emmert
Reggie Bush @ReggieBush
“I wonder why the NCAA has gone quiet on me? They had a lot to say last year. These are some pretty serious allegations. Don’t run now Mark, the party is just getting started! Mark Emmert is liar, a conman, a thief, but most importantly he is a coward. Hello Heisman Trust 👏”
Is Emmert enough of a public figure that he can’t sue for slander? What is Reggie up to here? Is the push coming to get his Heisman back?
Truth is a legal defense. Case closed! 😉
He must have some good meat on Mark. Let’s hear it!
I doubt we’ll ever hear a public word from Mark Emmert about Reggie Bush.
He’s got nowhere to go but down if he ever talks. JMHO.
I see it as the NCAA will do anything not to have to admit a mistake was made. I have to agree with the cowards statement.
Anyone know who is doing coverage for signing day?

In 2007, USC’s FIVE first-team All-Americans were:
DT Sedrick Ellis (unanimous)
OT Sam Baker (3-year AA)
TE Fred Davis (also won the Mackey Award)
LB Keith Rivers
S Taylor Mays (3-yr AA)
USC picked up another big commitment out of the Transfer Portal earlier today from former OKS All-Big 12 LB Mason Cobb.
Cobb spent three seasons in Stillwater, breaking out during this past year, and has two years of eligibility. He had 96 tackles, 13 TFL, and two sacks. Cobb (0) also had a pick against TT.
According to the On3 transfer portal rankings, Cobb (6-1, 230; Provo HS; 3-stars) was the No. 4 LB in the cycle and was a key target of A&M.
Our LB room is on the way to being the strength of the defense. Cobb plays over Lee in my opinion. Certainly enough snaps for all to make lots of plays, it will be fun to see.
Lee seems really slow to me.
He is really slow, that is why he got no playing time at Bama. But he filled a hole and brought leadership to USC.
Lee doesn’t have the speed to cover a RB out of the backfield. But he is strong and was effective in support of the run game. At AL he was a freshman all American and SEC all freshman. An injury as a sophmore set him back but he still played quite a bit. From what I have read he is a locker room leader. I am glad he is coming back. He can mentor the new LB’s , particularly Tackett Curtis. And if the LB position is deeper he won’t be asked to play in pass defense.
He’s running around with his hair on fire out there for the most part. Like it.
He’s kind of a team backbone I’m guessing, and was one of the two players that LR brought to Pac-12 media day with him.
It seems the LB and WR rooms are good.
It may be nice to get an experienced RB if Austin Jones goes to NFL or other.
Now concentrate on DL and OL.
I am hoping a couple of the young linebackers are ready to show themselves this next year to strengthen the D even more.
Tabarrici, Thompson, Madden, and Davis.
USC50, With the additions of Cobb and true frosh from LA (that kid is a football player!), the ILB room is now in great shape. The OLB room, however, is not. We need at least two more kids for that position. Right now, we have Byrd and Corey Foreman – and the hurt Auburn transfer (Romelo Height I think is his name). That is a really weak position and it is probably the most important position in Grinch’s D.
And Foreman picks the ball off! It’s USC ball. Trojans win.
That play will roll around in his head forever! Well deserved! Totally redeemed himself for me. Everything else is gravy. Hopefully that play will light a big fire in him.
The perfect and final silencing of DTR’s big mouth, at least in Los Angeles. So glad it was #0 who stomped out his/the little gutties’ last hope. I’m not one who thinks Foreman will ever turn into a great player after seeing him for two years, but he doesn’t need to as far as I’m concerned. He’s already stamped his beautiful signature on USC football lore in the form of a perfectly timed UCLA kill shot, and whatever his future holds, I’m sure glad he came to USC, and may many more from usually talented Corona Centennial (DE Drake Jackson)… Read more »
Excited that we are adding guys that are going to come in and play. Not rolling the dice on potential development. These are plug and play guys.
As it seems we have some huge future players who will be signing and some players coming in to plug holes, especially on the D. I doubt LR is done, we need the linemen on O. What I am looking forward to is guys who can step up and contribute like Kyron Ware-Hudson, Gary Bryant, Raesjon Davis, Darwin Barlow,, Covington, Wright, Gordon, and Prophet Brown. The guy I am really hoping for a huge season from is Kyle Ford. We have a kid coming in at linebacker that is simply a machine in Tackett Curtis.
I am excited to see the development as well. I have no doubt it’s coming. Also, I think the odds that Bryant I’d hear next year are slim and none. He will transfer after he gets his degree.
