I recall last year in July and August on this blog how most of the posters were so optimistic about a good 2018 SC football showing. Boy, did the Trojans jump off that bandwagon in a hurry. So I am staying cool about football this summer and reserving my enthusiasm for the actual start of the season versus Fresno St.

John, Last year we all drank Clay’s Kool Aid. Not anymore. As Allen has stated, Clay has about as bad a year in 2018 as any coach he could recall. Allen went back to 1962 to find a comparable year. Clay is still the head coach. He is still incompetent. The issue is how much he will mess up the staff and the kids this year. Well said RJJ. Anyone who thinks that Clay has suddenly figured out how to be a competent head coach is deluding themselves. He is so far out of his element. Our best hope is he gets out of the way and let’s his asst. coaches take charge.. The less he touches, the better off we are.
Thank Blindsided, for not taking care of this when you had a chance. Can’t wait until both of these fools are gone.

This might be fun if it weren’t taking away from the limited number of practice days available. Players standing around signing autographs?
But, if they put in a good scrimmage with real game type situations I guess it can work. It really sounds like a stadium showcase. They should do this every year maybe in the spring.

I guess the above discussion is not what people want so why put all that information up?
