Lamelo Ball was asked if he was still trying to go to college. He said he’s “for sure going” That USC and Kansas are the two recruiting him. I think a lot of schools aren’t gonna put the time in to court him and his father because of the unwanted media attention that comes with them and they probably feel he won’t be eligible to be a college basketball player since he played overseas. There could still be some program that’s just waiting for the final word so they can steal him. John Calipari. I would take him for one… Read more »

Definitely a negative. But Lonzo could be traded soon and Dad may be gone half the time.
USC basketball getting to the Elite8 is all I have as a 38 yr old.
I need this.
Ha just kidding.
Kinda.
But dad needs to be occupied and silent somewhere next to Lonzo in another city.

I edited this to say I don’t see him playing in college at all when it’s all said and done there’s too many issues that he has to answer.
Lavarr put his son in this spot.

I never thought I would see someone on here wanting anything to do with the Balls. Especially you Sam. Without dad Ball around things could be tolerable, but still not great.

If he see’s his brother Lonzo traded when the season ends he’s going to hear the news, see sportcenter with Steven A. Smith, and watch Charles Barkley and Shaq discuss how Lavarr Ball made it that much easier for the Lakers to move on and deal him away. This is all very far and away a plan “in the works” because it could easily be shot down tomorrow if he’s ruled ineligible to play college. But Lamelo will be witness to the talk of how Lavarr being so opinionated and disrespectful got his brother shipped out of Los Angeles and… Read more »

FYI; here’s a post from uscfootball.com that details the players in the transfer portal that are available for Hugs to contact. What are the odds that he does nothing?

Are none of the posters in a serious mood today? Holidays can do that to a bloke. OK, I’ll play along. Is it true that Coach Helton’s parents originally wanted to name him ‘Rock,’ but after he grew up they knew he was more ‘Clay’ than Rock?

If there is any problem that needs correcting in the program they will sit down and watch film, that should take care of it.

I’m all for watching film to find the fault and take steps towards correcting them. However this coach doesn’t like finding fault. The bad snap that sunk the Trojan drive (just pick one) was an aberration in Helton’s mind.
My guess is when he says he’s watching Film he means the Wizard of Oz or some Harry Potter action.

With the Trojan work ethic, who needs a coach? These are men who know what to do and how to do it. Just get the towel boy to keep an eye on the place.
Right?

I think Western Kentucky has some pretty good towel boys we can steal from them…

Clay Helton’s imaginary friend. He specializes in lengthening and strengthening of players’ arms for hugging.
