Here is your exclusive place to add information to the TDB which doesn’t pertain to any other moderator post. “This & That” is now our constant location for any subjects you, our members, want to expose to the TDB. It’s your place to shine.

We will start a new “This & That” post every week to keep things fresh. Please use “This & That” instead of placing your random comments in other posts which are unrelated to the content of your comment.

Here are a couple of unrelated USC topics to get you started:

1)  Get ready to watch USC T&F compete at the 2018 NCAA T&F Championships hosted by Oregon at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. from June 6-9. The entire 2018 NCAA Track & Field Championships will be televised on one of the ESPN network platforms.

USC’s women enter ranked No. 2 with the men’s team No. 11. At least one Trojan man or woman has won an individual NCAA outdoor title in 20 of the last 26 championships.

The Trojans have 9 men and 13 women who will be competing in 28 events at the 2018 NCAA T&F Championships, which includes three relay teams.  Men: Benjamin (400m H), Brock (100m), Ford (800m), Morgan (400m), Norman (400m), Ponzio (SP), Samuel (400m H), Sears (HJ), Shinnick (4x400m).  Women: Annelus (100m, 200m), Brissett (100m H), Cockrell (100m H, 400m H), Constantine (400m), Ellis (400m), Hall (100m H), Hill (100m, 200m), Lopes (Heptathlon, HJ), McGlaston (100m H), Richards (LJ), Robinson (400m H), Roberts (4x400m), Terry (100m, 200m)

2) Quarterback Carson Palmer, safety Troy Polamalu, and cornerback Dennis Thurman are the three Trojans listed on the 2019 College Football Hall of Fame ballot.

The other potential Pac-12 Hall of Fame selections are David Fulcher (Arizona State); Jake Plummer (Arizona State); Tony Gonzalez (California); Ron Rivera (California); Rashaan Salaam (Colorado); Michael Westbrook (Colorado); Jess Lewis (Oregon State); Ed McCaffrey (Stanford); Cade McNown (UCLA); Ken Norton (UCLA); and Jason Hanson (Washington State).

There are 76 former NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision players on the 2019 ballot. Texas QB and Trojan nemesis Vince Young is on it too.

The announcement of the 2019 Class will be made Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, in Santa Clara, California. Santa Clara is the host for the CFP National Championship, which will be played later that day at Levi’s Stadium. The Jan. 7 announcement will be televised live.
