According to ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura, USC sophomore-to-be wide receiver Joseph Lewis has been charged by the L.A. City Attorney’s office with five misdemeanor counts of domestic battery with an injury, or false imprisonment and domestic battery without an injury as a result of two separate alleged incidents on Feb. 5 and Feb. 11. Lewis was arrested on Feb. 12 and has been suspended from all football-related activities by USC.
The 6-2, 205 pounder from L.A. Hawkins was ESPN’s No. 1 WR in the class of 2017. It is highly unlikely the once-promising talent will ever wear a Trojan uniform again based on USC’s past handling of player misconduct cases, as well as what I have been told about the circumstances of the incident.
